In my early years, experience in gardening while helping my grandmother and later working with a nature conservation group in high school planted the seeds for an interest in homesteading.
During college I worked on a farm with over 1,000 animals including chickens, goats, sheep, cows and horses. It was an amazing experience.
This was a contrast to growing up a few minutes outside of New York City.

My husband and I spent nearly a decade traveling across the U.S. for our marketing business before life began to pull me back toward something simpler and more grounding.

When the world slowed down during the pandemic, I immersed myself fully in homesteading. What started as raising a few chickens for fresh eggs quickly became a passion that brought me peace, joy, and a sense of purpose I hadn’t known before.
